Clinical Trials

Tiervlei Trial Centre is a dedicated clinical trial centre with a full-fledged operations team consisting of dedicated investigators, ICH-GCP (International certification of good clinical practice) trained staff including co-investigators, research nurses, clinical trial technicians, administrators, and teams for project management and patient recruitment. The centre has a unique patient database and a very proactive patient recruitment system.

Tiervlei Trial Centre aims to address the needs of the sponsor, namely that of trained investigator sites which deliver studies within the required timeframe and where data is not compromised. Cleaner data and prompt resolution of queries decreases the number of monitoring visits required which in turn would translate into substantial cost savings for the sponsor.
We have successfully participated in > 200 clinical trials in various therapeutic areas since 2000.

Community Service

Karl Bremer Hospital

TTC recognizes the challenge facing the South African health system and provides an equitable distribution of resources between the public and private health care sectors, and therefore supports functions of the Karl Bremer Hospital in many ways by providing the following special services free of charge: Echocardiography, Lung function tests, Lipid, HbA1C screens, Skin-prick testing, Specialist consultations.

TTC also provides physician availability for emergency visits, sponsoring state patient’s admission to private wards and physical maintenance of the Karl Bremer Hospital

TTC has a structured bi-monthly training on presenters of Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine with Division Pharmacology University of Stellenbosch.

TTC in collaboration with Cape Town Data offers a professional medical writing service. We have successfully completed more than 15 clinical study reports for regulatory submission.
