Welcome to Tiervlei Trial Centre
Tiervlei Trial Centre
is a well established centre, specialising
in the conduct of national and international clinical trials.
TTC has successfully participated in more than 200 clinical trials within the following therapeutic areas: Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Neurology, Metabolic, Phytotherapies, Infectious Disease, Bioequivalence and Phase I. We provide specialised services from the conduct of clinical trials to medical writing, data management and biometry and have completed more than 15 Clinical Study Reports for registration of new medicines.
Tiervlei Trial Centre is committed to researching safe, effective medication, for a wide range of diseases and conditions. We participate in clinical trials over a wide range of therapeutic areas. These clinical trials cover all phases (I - IV) of pharmaceutical development.
One of the strengths of our centre is the unique symbiotic relationship with the full functioning Karl Bremer Hospital since 2000.
The increasingly stringent demand for clinical research work demands services of specialised clinical trial centres. Tiervlei Trial Centre is a dedicated clinical trial centre with a full-fledged operations team consisting of dedicated investigators, ICH-GCP (International certification of good clinical practice) trained staff including co-investigators, research nurses, clinical trial technicians, administrators, and teams for project management and patient recruitment. The centre has a unique patient database and a very proactive patient recruitment system.

Karl Bremer Hospital was established in 1956 and is one of the oldest hospitals in the Western Cape. The hospital provides high quality care, for both the private (belonging to medical scheme and private paying patients), as well as Government subsidised patients. The hospital has 282 beds of which 34 are private. Tiervlei Trial Centre interacts closely with the hospital and has access to important services like 24 hour medical emergency.
